Happy Anniversary message from our first client
Michael Neill’s very first sales and service client, Summit FCU in Rochester, NY, has a special message for ServiStar Consulting’s 20th Anniversary.
Notable events that happened in 1998
- Mike Neill, a young credit union executive with a full head of hair, founded Michael Neill and Associates.
- Google was founded.
- The first Apple iMac was introduced.
- Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone was published in the US.
- The movie Armageddon was released and a song from the soundtrack, Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing,” became wildly popular.
A lot has happened in 20 years!
Since 1998, Google has grown to be the single most used search engine in the world. Aerosmith’s Steven Perry celebrated his 70th birthday while on tour this year. And ServiStar Consulting – the only company of its kind working exclusively with credit unions to deliver a personalized comprehensive Member Experience development program – celebrated its 20th anniversary in business with a name change and strong, continued growth.
Amazingly, twenty years is a long time for a small business to survive. In fact, in a study by Statistic Brain, Startup Business Failure Rate by Industry the failure rate of all U.S. companies after five years was over 50 percent, and over 70 percent after 10 years.
But here we are, 20 years older and still rockin’. Thank you to all the credit union partners – past, present and future – that continue to turn to ServiStar for the tools needed to successfully enhance the financial lives of their members, grow organizational culture and engage employees.
